The Wellington was called into active duty in 2119 A.D. when the Homeworld Congress declared war on the Pirate Clans of Saturn. The Pirate Clans War was in response to Jonas Simbacca's Pirate Clan pillaging a civilian ore freighter, the Danube, which resulted in the death of one of its two crew members. In addition to the death of the Danube's crew member, an entire Exofleet work crew was killed when a booby-trap left by the Pirates was accidentally triggered. The Wellington served in all engagements in the Pirate Clans War including the Battle of the Asteroid Belt and Battle of Enceladus.
The Pirate Clans War abruptly ended when the Neosapien Commonwealth surprise attacked and conquered the Homeworlds, violating their disarmament treaty they signed after the Neosapien Revolt of 2069 A.D. and the First Drej War of 2106 AD. In response, the Exofleet turned its full attention to freeing the Homeworlds from Neosapien oppression. The Wellington served in all engagements in the Neosapien War including the Second Battle of Earth, Second Battle of Venus, Third Battle of Earth, Blockade of Io, Battle of Ceres, Second Battle of Mercury, Third Battle of Venus, Battle of The Moon, and Fourth Battle of Earth.
The Wellington received notoriety in 2120 A.D. when it was assigned to lead the task force for the Second Battle of Mercury. The Wellington and the rest of the fleet deployed a complement of Jumptroops for a ground assault as well as using E-frames for air support. The Wellington successfully carried out the mission in addition to decimating a massive counter attack from the Mercury Occupational Forces led by squadron leader Thrax, Garrison Commander Glycon, and E-Frame pilot Sharos. It was the Mercury Occupational Forces' last ditch effort before being completely defeated. The Wellington remained in service beyond the Neosapien War and the Second Drej War.
