Epimetheus

Epimetheus

Epimetheus, also known as Saturn XI, is a natural satellite of the outer planet, Saturn. Epimetheus was discovered on December 18, 1966 by the American astronomer Richard Walker.

Surface Features

The surface of Epimetheus consists of rocky craters scattered throughout the satellite, and the moon is not spherical in shape. It also has its own ring system, but it is too faint to be seen by most telescopes. There are also large amounts of grooves around the moon.
